What if fortune tellers used balls of ice cream instead of crystal balls?

So hello,

We just moved to this fine city of binghamton, and thought it would be fun to start a blog about it and the FUTURE. Apparently, binghamton has a pretty bad reputation, but we really like it!! We live on the southside, and we have a nice view of downtown, the susquehanna river, and the crowley dairy factory. At night, we can see the warm red glow of dairy products. yesssss!!

A few weeks ago, over the telephone, Zach told me about this dessert from unos. It just so happened to be a personal sized pan, with a plop of cookie dough baked fresh in it. THEN it has a big old scoop of french vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, and chocolate sauce over the top of it. I couldn't get it out of my head. This evening, we went to get one for ourselves, and the ball of ice cream on top made zach think of fortune tellers. I think if fortune tellers used ice cream, they would get a more accurate read on things. There is so much more variation in ice cream than crystals. THINK OF IF THEY USED CHOCOLATE SWIRL OR CARAMEL SWIRL!?!?!?!
(zach note: I fully pictured an old hook nosed gypsy woman, covered in scarves and rings, scooping out a fresh ball of ice cream. She would stare at it really hard and concentrate. Then she would reach out and read palm lines, but her hand would be all sticky from ice cream. I actually pictured this in the two seconds after I thought "crystal ball=ice cream scoop.")

On Saturday we walked to downtown. It was a chillier day than it had been and it was so nice!! Zach and I pretty much patrolled DT for the afternoon. Some highlights included the area around the city buildings and court house. there is some interesting sculpture and elevated concrete "play" areas. I thought snow control would be a challenge. The courthouse has a great copper roof that has oxidized and is now green. Then we walked back over the Washington street footbridge, and there was a wedding going on!! it was pretty cool.

Jobs are good, we're making friends, we love our place, but we miss all of you!!! Lets keep in touch.
